This started as a way to explore a couple new natural fiber threads. I also used a smaller diameter of coils to achieve a thinner feel in the ribboning technique. I learned with this piece that embroidery floss does not work very well as a thread. Pulling it multiple times through the pine needles created a mess as each strand decided to catch at different spots. There was breakage and frustration. But the result was a colorful multi textured sculpture.

This lovely piece now resides with my parents in Kansas.
