I’ve been working with smaller coil gages and I’m loving the details I can get. I wanted to play with subtle color changes in the thread and I’m enjoying the outer ring of blue I put into this one. The vessel form at the center is sewn with upholstery thread and was formed before I made my switch to silk thread. I added on the coils a few months after finishing the vessel by fixing the start of my coil to the side and winding around. This piece is mainly a wall display but looks lovely on a coffee table as well.
