This piece hit me like a truck. Of course, a crow would use pine straw in their nest. Oooh and what if they were holding the straw! In the act of making the nest they’re standing on!

I really played around with how pine needles react to water with this one. A tight weave with wet pine creates a solid but light and airy piece. Holding this feels like you’re holding a nest. I used a spiral weave pattern to emphasize the circular motion of weaving a coil.
